Mixer Setup

While Ultrawave Guitar Tuner is running press the mixer button, this will open the windows mixer, which will look something like the picture below.

Setting up the record options
Make sure both the mic and line-in sliders are there, if not
go to the menu and choose "options", and then "properties", then click on the radio button marked "recording". Tick the mic and line-in boxes if they are not already ticked, then press the OK button. Select the slider controlling the input socket that you have your guitar plugged into, and set the sliders to a comfortable level.

Setting up the playback options
Now go to the menu and choose "options", and then "properties", then click on the radio button marked
"playback", then press the OK button, this will open the Playback Control box which should look something like the picture below.

Set the line in and microphone volumes to zero but make sure the slider controlling the input socket your using is not muted. That will stop windows routing the sound from the input to the speakers directly, which would cause the effects to sound wrong. Sound from the guitar shouldn't be heard on the speakers while Ultrawave isn't running.
