The Basics

The effects bar.
You'll find this located on the left of the window. To add an effect to your stack just press on one of the effect buttons. You can build up your stack by adding more effects to it, and also change the order of the effects by using the up and down buttons located on the right hand side of each rack. To remove an effect from a stack just press on the x button in the top right hand corner of the rack. There is an up and down button at the base of effects menu which lets you scroll the menu.

The preset bar.
To use a predefined stack, just click on one of the preset names in the preset bar which is located on the right of the screen. Doing this will clear your current stack, and replace it with a new preset one. You can edit preset stacks and save them with new names, or build and save new stacks of your own. There is also a hotkey feature that will let you assign presets to number keys so you can change between presets quickly.

The main bar.
The main bar at the top of screen lets you control input/ouput settings. The mixer in and out buttons open the recording and playback mixers for Windows. Next to them is the Volume in/out controls and level meters. Next along is the limiter button which will activate and light up when the output level has exceeded the maximum limit, this prevents any harsh clipping noises reaching the speakers. The next button is the options, which opens the options window where you can set the recording and playback settings.

The Stack.
Racks are placed in the stack area in the center of the screen. The guitar's signal  arrives at the top rack and works it's way down through the stack. Racks can be moved by pressing the up/down buttons on the right hand side of each rack, there is also a close button above them to remove a rack from the stack. The position in the audio chain of some racks like the analyser and decks aren't affected by their stack positions. In the case of the decks it's affected by whether their fx buttons are on or not.
