Noise Gate

Description: The noise gate turns down the volume when the signal level falls below the threshold level. It is normally used with hi-gain distortion which tends to amplify the noise along with the signal from a guitar. The noise isn't that noticeable when the signal level is high, but it is very noticeable when there is no signal. So a noise gate is used with it.

Controls:
Attack Time taken for the volume to rise from zero to the signals full level.
Release Time taken for the volume to drop from the signals full level to zero.
Threshold The signal level at which the noise gate is triggered on or off..
