Playback settings for Vista

Click on one of the mixer buttons in Guitar Multi Fx, this will open Vista's sound control panel. Make sure that the playback device you want to use with your guitar is set as the default playback device. To change it just highlight an item on the list and press the Set Default button, there should be a green tick next to the item you selected. Now press the Properties button and check your levels are correctly set.

Playback control volume should be set high enough, and not muted. All other sliders below should
be muted in order to prevent sound being sent directly to the speakers and by passing Guitar Multi Fx.

Recording settings for Vista
Press the Recording tab and make sure that the device your guitar's connected to is set as the default playback device. To change it just highlight an item on the list and press the Set Default button, there should a green tick next to the item you selected.

If your connecting a guitar to your sound card through a guitar amp or mixer, then it's best to use the
line-in socket as this will produce a better signal to noise ratio than the microphone socket.
Now press the Properties button and check your levels are correctly set.

Set the volume as high as you can without it causing any signal clipping, and make sure the volume for the selected input is not muted.
